I am disappointed in the 3.3.5 update to WoW's text box. The text box no longer wants to move to the very bottom or left of the screen, as well as only being adjustable via the lower-right corner tab.

Any chance that the wonderful CT_Mod could append this horrible oversight?

I have been using CT for years and love it so much, I don't know what I would do without it! I don't want to have to find another addon to fix this problem. Also, thanks for adding the removal of the Friends button! :)

Thank you!

I turned off all CTMods just to make sure this was a blizzard issue and sure enough - can't move it all the way to the left or bottom. The room it reserves to the left seems to be the size of the Chat Buttons and this space is reserved even when they are hidden. Probably some change to stop accidentally moving components off screen.

The next update of CT_Core (3.312) adds an option that lets you override the default behavior of the game so that you can move the chat frame to the edges or even off screen.

The override you have added works excellently. Yay for the continuing awesomeness of CTMod and it's ability to counter default UI limitations.

Thanks for the fix. However, I have a request: Bring back the scrolling feature. Blizzard's scrolling feature makes the chat scroll by three lines, not one, making the text jump too fast. CT_Core worked as one line at a time, not three. Thanks!

In order to scroll text in the chat frames, Blizzard's chat scrolling uses the ScrollUp() and ScrollDown() methods of the game's standard ScrollingMessageFrame object. This is the exact same thing that CT_Core 3.310 and earlier did to scroll the chat frame text.

The ScrollUp() and ScrollDown() methods scroll text in the chat frame one chat message at a time, but not necessarily one line at a time.

If the text in a chat message fits entirely on a single line of your chat frame, then the ScrollUp() and ScrollDown() methods will scroll one line.

However, if the text in a chat message is too long to fit on a single line, then the text will get displayed on multiple lines. For these long chat messages, the ScrollUp() and ScrollDown() methods will scroll more than one line in your chat frame. The exact number of lines scrolled will depend on how many lines the chat message occupied in your chat window.

My bad: CT_Core does not cause the 3 line scrolling issue. I was trying PhanxChat to override the chat sticky problem, and while it works in conjunction with CT_Core, it does this 3-line scroll with no way to change it. Ugh.
